SOMMELIER ITALIA organizes the Course for EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL SOMMELIER in English language!
Dates: SATURDAY August 7th and SUNDAY August 8th 2021!
Timetables: Saturday August 7th from 10 to 17 – Sunday August 8th from 9 to 16:30.
Where: Few minutes from Lake Garda at Antico Ristoro Resort La Mola.
Placed in the vineyard hills of Custoza, it offers nature, peace and walks. Elegant rooms and fine cuisine are available.
Teacher: Elsa Menegolli, E.v. Olive Oil Sommelier, Registered in the Italian register for Technicians and Experts of Virgin and Extra Virgin Olive Oils, International Master of olive oil tasters.

10:00 – 12:30 Sensory Analysis of Olive Oils, classifications and first approach to professional tasting.
12:30 – 14:00 Olive oil pairing technique and educational lunch.
14:00 – 17.00 Olive growing, harvesting and processing.
Sunday 8 August 2021
09:00 – 12:00 Olive oil defects and counterfeits.
12:00 – 14:00 Educational lunch and pairing of olive oils.
14:00 – 15:30 natural properties, enhancement and olive oil conservation.
16:30 Delivery of Sommelier Italia Certified Olive Oil Sommelier Certificate.
The course aims to provide concrete knowledge on everything related to the world of olive oil, from olive growing to production, in addition to history and cultural aspects. Particular attention will be given to the food and oil pairing technique, teaching tests and organoleptic analysis.
A total of 16 different olive oils will be tasted.
The course is dedicated to:
- Importers and distributors of extra virgin olive oil;
- Food and wine experts;
- Teachers and sommeliers;
- Cooking enthusiasts.
During the course, educational material, tasting sheets and the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Aromas box will be provided, including the main defects of the oil.
